I'd like to review the gameplay, but it is the 1st game we've gotten that won't play on our PS3. Too much trouble to return it for what I paid, so I'll just eat it. I guess this is more a review of the person who sold me the used game.
This game is as good as COD 5 or Resistance 2. Try it, you would like it.
This game never really gets old. i usually play it and complete it once a month and it just stays fun.
This game is not a super high budget game but it is fun to play, and it's cheap. It could have been great game if they had polished it a bit more and made an actual story line other then ten second clips here and there but the game is fun too play once around. It's just satisfying shooting some guy in slow motion and watch him explode. If your looking for a great first person shooter this is not it but I would recommend renting it.
That never happens in Timeshift. What a little gem of a game. But once you get used to it, boy does this game get fun. One of Timeshift's greatest assets however is the checkpoint system. This can ruin what might be an otherwise decent game. The story is almost non existent. First the bad.
But what it lacks in story, it makes up for in gameplay. In the beginning, I found using the time shifting abilities a little cumbersome. How games like this get overlooked while mediocre games like Rainbow Six Vegas get all the hype, I'll never know. The enemies are smart and will flank you fast. The game never feels redundant. I HATE games where if you die, you have to repeat the last 6-10 minutes of gameplay you just finished before you died. All I can say is don't let this game pass you by. A huge plus.
If you're a fan of Sci Fi shooters, you'll like Timeshift. The checkpoints are perfectly placed. The graphics are excellent, the guns are cool. The environments are varied and challenging. It becomes apparent that the developers put autosaves just before really challenging parts. I am a fan of shooters like Resistance, Halo, Call Of Duty franchise, and in my opinion Timeshift is just as worthy a shooter.
